Metrics for Integrated Systems and Contexts: Côte d’Ivoire Climate Vulnerability Reduction Credit feasibility and pilot design

The Higher Ground Foundation, in cooperation with the Côte d’Ivoire Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and under the funding of UNDP and GCF, is carrying out a pre-feasibility study on the use of centers on our Vulnerability Reduction Credit (VRC) to bridge the gaps between the project, adaptation, and national finance contexts.

Through a full program implementing a VRC-generating pilot project and leveraging partnership and funding for a VRC-based Adaptation Fund and a National Adaptation Management System, we seek to promote the use of VRCs as a metric for validating, verifying, and aggregating adaptation project results and, eventually, as a basis for securing credit-based funding.
